Different phases in SDLC providing outcome of each phase

 Different phases in SDLC

1.      Systems Planning: During this phase, the project proposal is evaluated to determine its feasibility. The outcome of this phase is a preliminary investigation report that includes a cost-benefit analysis, a risk assessment, and a recommendation to proceed or not.

2.      Systems Analysis: During this phase, the current system is studied, and user requirements are gathered. fact-finding is performed using techniques such as interviews, surveys, document review, observation, and sampling. The purpose is to build a logical model of the new system The outcome of this phase is a System requirements document that specifies what the new system should do.

3.     Systems Design: During this phase, The purpose is to create physical model.  the requirements are translated into a detailed design that includes hardware and software specifications, database design, and user interface design and necessary outputs, inputs, and processes are identified. programmers will use to transform the logical design into program modules and code. The outcome of this phase is a system design specification that serves as a blueprint for the construction phase.

4.     Systems Implementation: During this phase, the new system is constructed, programs are written, tested, and documented, and the system is installed. The outcome of this phase is a working (functioning) system that meets the user requirements.

5.     Systems Support and Security: During this phase, the IT staff maintains, enhances, and protects the system. The objective during this phase is to maximize return on the IT investment. Security controls safeguard the system from both external and internal threats. A well-designed system must be secure, reliable, maintainable, and scalable. The outcome of this phase is a system that continues to meet the user requirements and is secure and reliable Fully Operational System.
